Dear Editor,
For those of you who think you know what a Buccaneer is, think again.
The new definition of a Buccaneer: (n) – Chef Rick.
This man places new meanings of the word Buccaneer here at ETSU.
Just to name a few items on his Buccaneer resume: providing buses to take faculty/students to away games, giving pep talks to teams before game time, making national magazine headlines for food service at ETSU, catering for the president of the United States, making appetizers for students to pass around during games, making half-court shots to win money for others, showing up at dorms to provide food … the rsum goes on.
Other universities have offered Chef Rick plenty of job opportunities with plenty of benefits.
No, Chef’s a Buccaneer.
Go ahead, ask Webster about it. It’ll show you his picture in any food magazine. It will tell you all about him and his collegues and the award-winning food they offer at Main Meal of ETSU.
Next time you see Chef Rick, shake his hand and thank him for being the Buccaneer that he is.
