Two Homecoming festivities have been canceled this year. The Step Show, scheduled for Saturday night at 7, and the Gospel Choir concert, scheduled for Sunday afternoon at 3:30.
“The way the Step Show operates is that there is prize money,” said Joy Fulkerson, a coordinator for SORC. “We bank on people getting tickets to pay for the prizes.”
There were less than four teams signed up for this year’s competition, down from the usual six to eight. “Without a significant number of teams, we thought it would be best to cancel sooner rather than later,” Fulkerson said. “We’re very disheartened about it.”
There is another Step Show scheduled for next semester.
The ETSU Gospel Choir concert has been postponed until Feb. 26, 2006.
