As part of a national week devoted to engaging colleges and universities in the ongoing issue of climate change, East Tennessee State University will host a public Climate Change Panel Discussion on Wednesday, Feb. 4, from 7-8:30 p.m. in the D.P. Culp University Center Forum Room.
The schedule includes a 50-minute Webcast, “Solutions for the First 100 Days,” which may be found at http://www.nationalteachin.org/launchwebcast.php.
The next half hour will feature a panel discussion including Dr. Joe Corso of the ETSU Department of Political Science; James Brooks, an outdoor writer for the Johnson City Press; Father Michael Cummins of the ETSU Catholic Center; Dr. Yongli Gao of the Department of Geosciences at ETSU, Dr. Lindsey King of the university’s Department of Sociology and Anthropology; and Drs. Ed and Jean Stead of the ETSU Department of Management and Marketing.
Audience questions and discussion participation will follow the panel presentation.
The event is sponsored by the environmental studies minor and the student organization I.C.E. (Initiative for Clean Energy) at ETSU.
