“I started working on this probably back in November,” said Director of Student Activities and Organizations Carter Warden. “And this spring, if there are students on or around campus that are comfortable coming together in a space, we thought of having some viewing parties, as long as everyone wears a mask and socially distances.”

The viewing parties will be held in the Cave in the D.P. Culp Student Center and will be able to hold around 45 to 50 students, with a few activities for students before and after the actual streaming of each event. Those interested in attending the viewing parties will not need make an account on LoopedLive, though pre-registration is required to attend the viewing parties for each week separately.

Feb. 3 will feature Broadway star Bryan Terrell Clark, Feb. 10 will feature comedian Ron Funches, Feb. 17 will feature rapper Young M.A., Feb. 24 will feature comedian and “Saturday Night Live” actress Melissa Villaseñor and March 3 will feature country music duo Maddie and Tae.

“Though I am excited to watch all of the different artists and comedians,” said Warden, “I am really interested in the first and the last one. The Broadway musical actor and the Maddie and Tae songwriting workshop. That will be different, and I am really looking forward to it. The Young M.A. will be very enjoyable as well because it will be the most performance driven of the events.”

Students can visit ETSU’s campus life active calendar to submit questions for each performer to answer during a virtual Q & A session as well as enter to win a chance to attend the soundcheck before each show begins.
