The SGA Fall 2021 Outdoor Concert was announced this week through the Office of the President’s “Weekly Update for Students” email, informing students that All Time Low and Swae Lee will perform at the concert on Oct. 25 at 7 p.m., at the CPA “Back Yard”.

After Kip Moore’s concert at ETSU in August, a new genre was next in the SGA concert rotation. Carter Warden, director of student activities and organizations, decided to feature two genres instead: rap and rock.

“The idea of a multiple genre show came about this summer from a desire to speak to a wider audience of students,” said Warden. “I was very fortunate to get both the All Time Low and Swae Lee schedules to work together. That’s the reason this is on a Monday night.”

All Time Low, most notably known for their smash-hit single “Dear Maria, Count Me In” released in 2008, the band continues to reign in popularity in the “pop punk” genre and remain popular today with their newest album “Wake Up, Sunshine.”

Rapper Swae Lee has been featured on tracks by Madonna, Post Malone, Wiz Khalifa and Chloe x Halle, while also having Drake featured on one of his own tracks, “Won’t Be Late.”

SGA President Mason Mosier expressed his excitement for the show.

“Our student body is hungry for big-name performers who cross genres and styles to represent a broad number of students,” Mosier said. “This year, SGA is intent on restoring the full Buccaneer experience. This started with our Kip Moore concert and will continue with Swae Lee and All Time Low.”

ETSU students get one free ticket, with an additional four guest tickets that can be bought for $10 with a student ID. Additional tickets go on sale for faculty and staff, as well as the public, on Oct. 11. Public tickets will be available online for $18, and will be available the day of the show for $25.

Student, staff and faculty tickets are available at the Carrier Center front desk inside theD.P. Culp Student Center; Tickets must be purchased with ID Bucs.
