Buctainment’s first drive-in movie in a while was supposed to be this past Friday, March 25, but was moved into The Cave due to weather circumstances.

The new movie “Scream” was shown in The Cave on the big screen, which was a great space to hold an event such as this one because everyone was able to see the screen and there was enough space for everyone to be comfortable.

Madison Ross, Buctainment’s events chair stated, “The turnout of the event was surprisingly well considering our location change the day before.”

There were about 65 people in attendance.

“We all believe relocating this event strongly influenced the turnout,” said Ross. “Our drive-in movies in the past have been a huge success, so we were anticipating at least 100 people.” The movie was new and some probably have never seen it, so providing a new movie probably brought more students out.

“I think the students really enjoyed the movie choice because they could not stop laughing,” Ross said. “The crowd would burst into laughter together and feed off and interact with each other.”

Ross continued, “We have loved how the students have loved the drive-in movies in the past and we hope our next one will not get relocated. Fingers crossed, because the students have been demanding one.”

The next showing will be “Spiderman: No Way Home” on April 22 at 8 p.m. in Parking Lot 21.
