Nothing like the warm welcoming atmosphere of the Bucs Back to School Bash.

The Culp Center was bustling with students for Bucky’s Back to School Bash. Numerous student groups were represented, ranging from service organizations and Greek life campus ministries and powerlifting clubs. Students were given the opportunity to sign up for life-changing opportunities while on their way to classes.

The Back to School Bash has been a highlight of welcome week, as it showcases the ETSU student life experience. With free food, fun games and t-shirts, the Bash creates a fun, unique experience for both new and returning students, allowing them to join organizations they might miss out on otherwise.

Trent White, SGA President, was very excited to see the energy of the students on Monday. “The energy right now is incredible… students are eager to get involved in every corner of campus, whether that be Greek life, student ministries, or academic clubs,” White said, “This is just the beginning.”

Just as the students are eager to get involved, campus organizations are excited to see new faces. With tables set up with candy and frozen yogurt, many dedicated the day to making new friends and working to grow their organization.

Macy Higgins, Kappa Delta affiliate, said, “Bucky’s back-to-school bash is a great way to promote our organization and let girls know what Kappa Delta is about.”

Students had an incredible experience in the energetic atmosphere as they looked at opportunities that cater to their degree or their interests.

“I had a great first day at ETSU! I feel very at home on campus, and the back-to-school bash was a blast! Everyone who was working there made sure to make me feel welcome and I got to learn more about campus life! Go Bucs!” Abigail Chapman, ETSU freshman, explained.

With new friendships and bright opportunities, Bucky’s back-to-school bash was an exciting way to start the 2023 school year for all students and organizations!
