Dripfest returned to Johnson City this past weekend to welcome vendors and customers to Downtown Johnson City for vintage clothing.

Dripfest took place on Saturday from 3-7 p.m. at the Johnson City Pavillon and saw a surplus of visitors. The event welcomed vendors into Downtown Johnson City to display and sell their unique items and clothing.

“Last time it was amazing, a lot of vendors and a lot of traffic. After the first one we had a lot of outreach about when the next one would be,” said Jamarius Hairston, host of Dripfest.

The first Dripfest took place back on Saturday, May 13 and saw a large turnout. The hosts decided to have another one this year due to its popularity. Many vendors were pleased with the setup and turnout of the event.

“It started from a vision. Knowing that the industry, the market, everything revolves and the old is the new,” Hairston said.

Dripfest is the perfect event for those looking for unique items to add to their wardrobe or just find new sellers to search for. All the vendors present displayed vintage finds from ’90s Nikes to vintage NASCAR T-shirts, the event had something for everyone interested in vintage clothing.

“It’s definitely worth your while coming out and seeing the great pieces and great vendors that we have,” Hairston said.

This Dripfest offered more vendors than the first one with more variety of items, sizes and brands. Coordinators hope to keep growing with more vendors and more visitors each time. The date for the next Dripfest is not yet set, but hosts hope to have it underway soon.
