Dear Editor,
In my History 2020 class, my professor brought up a very interesting question.
What does the Confederate flag mean?
Does it mean heritage or white supremacy?
I thought this was a very relevant question to where I come from.
I live in a very small county where people fly the “rebel flag” from the back of their pickup trucks and are proud of this.
I don’t believe that this has anything to do with heritage.
I just thought that this was a very interesting question and it is still relevant to today even though the Confederate flag has not been our nation’s flag since the Civil War.
