“I love Dierks Bentley and I have seen him before so I am excited to see him again,” said Natalie Frazier, sophomore nursing major.
Tickets are free to ETSU students with a valid student ID. Students can purchase up to three guests tickets for $10 each. Guests must be at least 18 years old with a valid ID.
Faculty and staff will be able make purchases on Oct. 31.
Tickets are available for sale until the concert date and can be picked up at Booth C, which is located on the first floor of the D.P. Culp Center.
The groups performing this year are of the country music genre. They were chosen in the fall based on a list of preferences voted on by students.
“I don’t know the exact number, but I know that he was still high on the list,” said Carshonda Harris, SGA vice president.
Bentley has recorded and performed songs such as “What Was I Thinkin” and “Come a Little Closer.” His newest song “Every Mile a Memory” is from his album Long Trip Alone.
Lambert and The Randy Rogers Band started their official tour with Bentley in September of this year. “Kerosene” as well as “Me and Charlie” are two hits performed by Lambert. “Just a Matter of Time” is an original of The Randy Rogers Band.
But some students are unfamiliar with these bands or their work.
“I am not going because I don’t know who Dierks Bentley is,” said freshman, Courtney Leverett.

Instead of a musical artist, SGA is inviting a comedian to entertain students next semester.
“We [SGA] have a bid in for [Dave} Chapelle,” said Harris, adding that there is no response by Christmas, then the next comedian on the student list of preferences will be contacted.
