Well it’s been brought to my attention during my stint as captain of What the @$#! that I don’t address sports issues facing our very campus. Well with one more issue to hit the racks I figure I would fulfill my obligation as sports editor, so without further delay.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m pretty bummed that the football team got hosed but some of the fanatics from the Buc Football and Friends Foundation discussion boards need to just let it go.
Here’s an example of ignorance in action, “Where do I turn my diploma in? It will be a cold day in hell before I appear in public with the letters ETSU on them again.”
WOW! Somebody has definitely drunk the Kool-Aidr around here.
This person is making it sound like we drown kittens and crucify puppies around here.
If this individual needs a reason to support the letters ETSU, look no further than the very athletic program they want to take issue with.
Maybe they need to spend a little less time playing keyboard activist and check out one of our seven championship programs we have here on campus.
Not enough? Even if we didn’t have one single athletic program we would still have one of the most respected medical schools in the South and one of only two pharmacy schools in the state!
If this chat room hero wants to turn their diploma in I say we oblige them.
A cold day in hell, huh? Well with graduation next week I’d be willing to bet you could find 1,300 Bucs who feel a draft. Myself being one of them!
WHAT THE @$#!.
