Dear Editor,
The First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution is terminally ill, folks.
After a fantastic and humorous display by the recent hell-spewing preacher, I’ve come to the conclusion that the American ideals of freedom of expression, speech, press, etc., have crashed headlong into the ground from a painfully apparent utter disregard by my generation.
Many on that day in Borchuck Plaza saw a united student body banding together to squash this hate-mongering heathen posing as clergy.
I, however, saw nothing short of a prelude to a good old fashioned Salem witch hunt bent on stifling dissenting speech to maintain some phony “liberated” status quo.
That man has my utmost respect. In the face of an angry mob, that man spouted words so vile to be deserving of a near riot and yet did not yield his position. This was pure radical, protected speech at its best.
So to all the homosexuals with their signs, and the liberated Christians with their hip ideals, and the overt feminists (who should be more worried about a certain Supreme Court case) jockeying to lay the hammer down on people like Mr. Minister, I have one thing to say. Our forefathers are weeping.
Now go get jobs or find something better to do than dissect bullshit rhetoric to soothe your undeserved senses of accomplishment.
