On April 6, Student Government Association Election Commission sent out an email that certified the 2023-2024 ETSU SGA election results.

With 1026 total votes cast, there was 628 vote decrease from last year’s election.  The results of the elections were the following:

President: Trent White
Executive Vice President: Brooke Patterson
Vice President for Finance and Administration: Skylar Brackett

White received approximately 96% of the votes cast by the student body to become ETSU’s newest ETSU SGA student body president. During this election cycle, he ran unopposed on the ballot, along with the other executive candidates who were unopposed as well.

Students also voted to approve the four additional ballot inquiries listed. This included establishing the Collaboration Initiative as part of “One ETSU”,  the creation of an SGA legislative research team, creation of the role of secretary of public relations, and creation of the role of secretary of research.
