Dear Editor,
It seems to me that Saddam Hussein is dead and has been from the early days of the war.
If he were still alive his face would have been all over the TV screen on a daily basis broadcasting how the “capitalist pigs” were unable to take him down.
The easiest course of action would be to have him cremated and cast his ashes to the four winds.
What better way to frustrate the coalition, the free world and President Bush?
There would be no “corpus delecti”and hence no closure in the Iraqi war.
Of course the only thing that matters is that Saddam is history and will never bother us again.
We can call it a moral victory and his cold dead body can be damned.
Very soon the Iraqi leaders will say that they do not know where he is but that he was last seen heading for the borders of Jordan or Syria.
Saddam’s body will, in my opinion, never be found and to that we can all say “hallelujah.”
