Dear Editor,
The irony of no freedom of expression in Freedom Hall has not been lost on the ETSU community.
It is only human nature, I suppose, to be in favor of sending American soldiers to fight and die in the name of freedom in some far away land, but to love freedom a lot less when it crops up in your own back yard.
But there is another lesson here. All successful politicians agree with the majority of the voters, always. Politicians know that old people are much more likely to vote than young people.
That is why politicians respond to calls and letters from old people, and don’t pay attention to calls and letters from young people.
Why should they, as long as most young people don’t vote? If young people turned out in record numbers to vote in the next city council election, I guarantee you no concert would ever be canceled ever again.
