During the fall semester, 11 different ETSU athletes from the sports of cross country, volleyball and soccer earned awards from the Atlantic Sun Conference.
Those student-athletes were are on the court during Monday’s basketball game to be recognized for their accomplishments in their respective sports.
Seven members of the men’s cross country team won awards for their performances during the fall semester: Jordan Ladd received an Athlete of the Week award, Jeff Crane and Abdi Cheppwony received All-Freshman Team awards and Peter Dalton, Benard Towett, Joshua Hicks and Jeff Crane received All-Conference honors.
The men’s cross country team were not the only Buc’s sport to receive honors.
The rest of the awards that were handed out went to the women of the Buccaneer sports program.
From the women’s cross country team Heather Atkins received All-Freshman honors and Jennifer Sartor received both Player of the Week and Second Team All-Conference honors.
The final awards went to members of the the women’s soccer team. Meagan Morris recieved both Offensive Player of the Week and Second Team All-Conference awards and Erin Ashton received Two-time Offensive Player of the Week and Second Team All-Conference awards.
