“I tell you I love you for fear that tomorrow isn’t another.” – Anonymous
Love is much more than a four-letter word. Love is a feeling like nothing else in this world, or perhaps in the universe. Love transcends all time and has no limits.
Love is likened unto one’s soul. It’s there, without explanation, be it love for a woman or man.
And love is meant to be shared, not in a carnal sense, but in a sense of want, need and desire.
“Thou art to me a delicious torment.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
Love is for the masses. For family, wife, children, sweetheart, lover, friend and yes, even a pet.
Love should not be squandered or sequestered, but like the fruit of life itself – be squeezed – and experienced like fine wine. In fact, love is a fine wine, accompanied by music.
“Love is the irresistible desire to be irresistibly desired.” – Mark Twain
Everyone desires to love and to be loved, and as Dean Martin has reminded us so often, “You’re nobody, ’till somebody loves you.”
Tomorrow, Feb. 14, we honor the life of the patron saint, “St. Valentine,” and a day set aside to celebrate love. But why set aside just one day, when love should be celebrated and observed every day of every year, for all times, for eternity.
Liken it unto a birthday – celebrate the day – but celebrate life too. Surely, love and life are one in the same.
“Once in a while, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale.” – Anonymous
So tomorrow, when you encounter someone who has made a difference in your life – stop and tell them that you love them – and don’t forget to embrace them too.
Love is much more than just roses and chocolates, but rather it’s about the roses in your life and those sweet delectable tastes.
Love is for the young and old alike. Never outgrown or out-dated.
“Where love is, no room is too small.” – Talmud
Is love possible at first sight? That’s a question worth pondering, but only few can answer. And yet, there is that possibility.
And for those of you who are in love, isn’t it grand?
But if you are waiting to fall in love, this paraphrase on D.H. Lawrence is especially for you: “I am in love – and, my God, it is the greatest thing that can happen to a person. I tell you, find someone you can fall in love with. Do it. Let yourself fall in love. If you have not done so already, you are wasting your life.”
“I’ll be looking at the moon, but I’ll be seeing you.” – Irving Kahal
Happy Valentine’s Day, Rebecca. I love you too.
“There is always some madness in love. But there is also some reason in madness.” – Nietzsche
