Dear Editor,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all students who came to the SGA-sponsored “Football Facts” forum meeting. No matter what side you choose to take, I sincerely appreciate the interest in something of this nature for our institution.
I would also like to publicly challenge my fellow candidates who are running for SGA president to a debate. I believe students need to be informed and it is with this that I present this challenge. Next week the election begins on April 10 and 11 and I want students to vote for whom they believe is the most qualified candidate.  I am running for re-election as SGA president. I’m concerned with the lack of readily available information on candidates. I’ve created my own campaign Web site (joshshearin.com) and would like to provide any other practical means to get our platforms known.
Opponents also have told me that they do not have enough time for a debate.
This concerns me deeply.  If they wish to be SGA president they will need to be able to devote time and give up part of their personal lives for the betterment of the student body on campus.
