Women’s tennis team had a fantastic performance in their match against Appalachian State. Winning their third consecutive match with a 6-1 victory.

The team showcased strength in both doubles and singles competitions. Securing wins in two out of three double matches and dominating in five out of six singles contests.

Freshman Jana Rovira (Puigcerda, Spain) gets a decisive win from the No. 4 singles spot to clinch the match highlights the team’s overall strong performance. Additionally, it’s notable that junior Daniela Rivera (Maturin,Venezuela) and junior Ralista Alexandrova (Sofia, Bulgaria) joined senior Sofia Markova (Nuremberg, Germany) in leading the team with five singles wins each this season.

Daniela Rivera was named the Southern Conference player of the week. Rivera’s impressive victories in both singles and doubles matches underscore her versatility and skill as a player. Winning her first weekly award of her career is a noteworthy achievement and reflects her hard work and dedication to the sport.

ETSU will return to action on Sunday when they host Western Carolina in a SoCon battle. First serve between the Bucs and the Catamounts is set for 3 p.m.
