Award-winning restaurateur and former NFL player Tobias Dorzon is teaming up with Pepsi to bring a pregame experience to East Tennessee State University.

The free event will take place at the ETSU Food City Fanzone in Lot 21, next to Warf-Pickel Hall, on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Pepsi and Sodexo, ETSU’s dining partner, are hosting a joint event to show how Pepsi brings out the best in football’s favorite foods, with free food on campus. The game will be the first meeting between the two teams since Tennessee Tech joined the Southern Conference.

The event will include a free dish from Dorzon, who has built his name in the culinary world after previously playing professional football. The dish is brisket on cornbread with a sweet and tangy barbecue glaze. Attendees will also be able to enjoy free tailgate-inspired food paired with Pepsi Zero Sugar, along with games, giveaways and more leading up to the Buccaneers’ kickoff.

ETSU is one of several stops on the tailgate tour. Others include Prairie View A&M University on Nov. 7 and Texas Christian University on Nov. 14.

The event is free, and students and fans are encouraged to stop by throughout the afternoon.
