Dear Editor,
The problem with SGA is that so many people get elected and the only reason they get involved is to add something to their resume.
I know you have heard people say etsu sucks.
Well, etsu does not suck.
College is what you make it and if you don’t get involved in campus life then you will not get the full college experience.
I understand that some students have to work, as I did, or are nontraditional students but you have to make time and get involved if you want to enjoy yourself.
The bottom line of sga is that you have to have solid executive leadership that gets students and members motivated.
You have to make people want to be part of the organization.
You need to concentrate on doing things to make the school a better place to be, not making your resume better.
Of course, this ties to any student organization.
Get involved.
Otherwise you have no excuses and no right to complain.
If all else fails impeach your president.

Former SGA president
