Dear Editor,
[In response to Jenkins’ “Ludacris e-mail vote unfair to student” in the Sept. 26 issue, } he forgot that the $20 [Student Activity Fee] is for student activities, and must be spent on that alone.
Sending money to Katrina [victims] is not an option, and I seriously doubt more people would have voted for their money (that they were promised they would be entertained with) to go to Hurricane Katrina.
And by the way, Ludacris has sold more than seven million albums in the past five years. Tell me that is not appealing to the masses.
This is just like voting for the president. If you don’t vote, you don’t have a say, but you still have to pay those taxes.
Every student should check their e-mail every day. They will have to in the real world and they should get used to it now. It takes all of one minute, and if they are spending every single minute studying for their exams, then that’s a problem all on its own.
You also forgot to mention that the first 16 choices are booked for other things.
