Dear Editor,
I would just like to commend the new Honors College for affording me an opportunity to both conduct research and present it.
I just spent the weekend presenting research in New Orleans for the Southeastern Psychological Association (SEPA).
The Honors College provided me with grant money that aided in recruiting participants for the study and money to travel to New Orleans.
The Honors College served to relieve the already difficult financial stress of being a student with a family. Not only was it an invaluable learning experience, but my research was selected for a regional award.
I just hope that the Honors College can keep providing opportunities for those students who can benefit. Conducting and presenting research, especially in the sciences, is a requisite for graduate school so these grants are a precious resource.
Lastly, I would like to just personally thank Dr. Levy and Donna Williams for all their hard work in coordinating these affairs.
